On October 2, 2008, Union Bank of California presented the Fifth Annual Wine D’Vine fundraising event held at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa benefiting Walden Family Services. Sponsors, donors and guests enjoyed the culinary delights of local chefs from El Adobe Restaurant at Estancia Resort & Spa, Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits, Laurel Restaurant & Bar, Pamplemousse Grille, and Roppongi Restaurant & Sushi Bar. Featured wines were provided by Orin Swift Cellars, Quintessa Winery, Rombauer Vineyards, Tantara Winery, and Wilson Creek Winery.
Grand Cru Presenting sponsor, Union Bank of California was joined by Premiere Cru sponsors Barney & Barney and Harley K. Sefton. The San Diego Business Journal provided the Tête de Cuvée sponsor. The Cuvée sponsors included McKenna, Long & Aldridge, Paetec Communications, UTC Financial, Dowling & Yahnkee, and Torrey Pines Bank. As an added treat, Ron and Mary Alice Brady were honored for their generous endowment gift which was created to fund transition kits for children and youth entering foster care. Named after Mary Alice, the Gr’mere’s I’mpossible Journey Fund is held at the San Diego Foundation.
