Volunteer Opportunities at Walden Family Services

Walden Family Services is actively looking for volunteers with diverse skill sets to lend a helping hand throughout the year. If you have time to spare and would like to make a difference in the life of a child, please contact Melissa Villagomez (619) 584-5777 or email [email protected].

We are currently looking for volunteers in San Diego, Riverside, Encino, San Bernardino and Victorville.

Social

Many book clubs, churches, troops, schools, and philanthropic groups choose to collect donations, toys, infant/toddler clothing, gift cards, and diapers on behalf of Walden. If you are interested in hosting a drive for Walden at your organization, please let us know and we will provide you with marketing materials and a speaker, if available. Groups can also host a carnival, picnic, holiday party, trip to attractions, etc. for our children, youth, and families. Walden will provide support staff and guidance.

Corporate

Employee engagement opportunities are available to companies of all sizes. Employees
can furnish and decorate a youth’s first apartment, have a competition building toddler bicycles, teach a Zoom financial management class to older youth, or work together to build care packages. Events can be customized to fit the needs of each company.

Special Events

Walden hosts several fundraisers annually and we are always in need of volunteers. Whether you choose to solicit auction items, sell sponsorships and tickets, help decorate, or work on the day of the event, we can use your assistance.

Speakers Bureau

Help us spread the word about Walden Family Services and our need for foster/adoptive families. If you are passionate about our cause and not shy about public speaking, we will train you to speak on our behalf as well as provide marketing materials.
