Meet Isaiah, an inspiring young man whose journey is a testament to resilience and hope. Growing up in foster care from the age of seven, Isaiah faced incredible challenges, including being placed in over 30 homes. Despite this instability, he found a loving and supportive foster home where he lived for two years and graduated from his High School with honors.
At 18, Isaiah joined Walden’s Transitional Housing Program (THP) and worked tirelessly to stabilize his life. Through sheer determination, he overcame obstacles like limited family support and transportation issues. Even in the face of these challenges, Isaiah stayed committed to providing for his son, maintaining his job, and remaining in good standing with the THP program.
But Isaiah’s story doesn’t end there. Thanks to the generous support of Carlsbad Auto Service, Isaiah now has reliable transportation! Carlsbad Auto Service recently donated two vehicles to Walden Family Services, and Isaiah was the proud recipient of a fixed-up Toyota 4Runner. This invaluable gift has not only provided Isaiah with the means to maintain his job and care for his son but has also given him the flexibility to explore further education and pursue his dream of joining the Navy.
