Attend One Of Our Events

For more than 40 years, Walden Family Services has been dedicated to helping children and youth in foster care thrive. One of the best ways to celebrate this legacy and support our mission is by joining us at one of our many events held throughout the year. From inspiring fundraisers to community gatherings, each event is an opportunity to make a difference, connect with others, and stand with foster youth as they build brighter futures.

Donor-Advised Funds

A gift to Walden from your donor-advised fund (DAF) will ensure that foster children, youth, and families in need will continue to get the services we provide—a gift that will keep yielding benefits for years to come. You can make a donation by visiting your account provider or by clicking the DAF Direct widget in the sidebar.

A Gift of Stock

A direct contribution of stocks or securities can yield a greater tax advantage than a donation of the proceeds after liquidation. By allowing you to take the deduction of the full value of the stock as well as avoiding capital gains tax, stock transfers not only make financial sense but also maximize the impact of your gift. Talk with your financial or tax advisor about tax-saving strategies that may apply to you and about your donation of stock to Walden Family Services today.

Fulfill a Wish

Due to the pandemic and public health and safety concerns, we are not accepting in-kind donations this year. Please consider making a cash donation instead.

Furnish an Apartment

Furnish and decorate a move-in ready apartment to ease a young person’s transition from foster to independent living in the community. Our transitional housing plus foster care program provides safe and affordable housing for youth ages 18–21 who are working or continuing their education. Call (800) 354-2184 to speak with a social worker in your area and review the Wish List for a complete list of furniture and household supplies.

#GivingTuesday

Kick off your holiday and year-end giving on #GivingTuesday, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year. Like Walden Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and encourage your family and friends to give.

Host a Fundraiser or Gift Drive
