Parenting & Family Support

Walden provides parenting classes for San Bernardino County families who have children under 5 years old.  We offer classes for families in San Bernardino City, Central Valley, and East Valley. Classes are offered at Walden’s San Bernardino office, in community locations, and at local high schools and educational facilities. Our work is made possible through the generous funding of First 5 San Bernardino County.

Nurturing Family Program

At Walden Family Services, we’re proud to support San Bernardino County families with young children through our free parenting classes designed specifically for families with children under the age of 5. These classes are available to families in San Bernardino City, the Central Valley, and the East Valley—and are offered at our San Bernardino office, local high schools, community centers, and other educational facilities across the region.

Our goal is to empower parents and caregivers with tools, support, and confidence as they navigate the early years of childhood.  These classes are a valuable resource for creating a strong foundation.

We’re deeply grateful to First 5 San Bernardino County for making this work possible through their generous funding. 💙

We proudly offer FREE 16-week parenting classes using the trusted Nurturing Family curriculum to help families build confidence and strong connections with their children. Classes focus on developing empathy, communication, and problem-solving skills that support healthy child development, while also encouraging self-awareness and positive parenting practices.

We offer sessions in English and Spanish, available in groups, one-on-one, or in-home, with a child enrichment program for little ones during class time. Snacks and incentives are provided at each meeting, and graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and a special gift to celebrate their achievement.

Families and communities are engaged, supported, and strengthened through resources and opportunities that empower them to nurture, care for, and provide a stable foundation for their children’s growth, success, and well-being. At Walden Family Services, we believe that when families are given the right tools, education, and encouragement, they’re better equipped to create safe, loving environments where children can thrive.

Our work focuses on breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect by addressing root causes and building strong family systems. Through evidence-based programs, parenting education, and personalized support, we help caregivers develop skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving.
